Skinnies to Skirt

Skinnies to Skirt:Tutorial

Hey everyone!!
Sorry for not blogging since like forever. I hope you guys enjoy my first tutorial and find it in your hearts to forgive me!
Enjoy!

Instructions:

First decide how long you want your jean skirt to be and cut both legs off. Cut the line just below your desired length so you can hem the skirt at the end. (1/2)

Using a seam ripper open the seams on the inside leg of the jeans including the parts you have cut off. Do this all the way till you reach the zip flap at the front, on the back of the skirt rip the seams until you reach the belt loops at the top.(3/4)

The bottom half of your jeans should now look like two rectangles set them aside for later.

Turn up the bottom of the jeans about 1cm for a hem and sew it, make sure it is the same size as the original hem.(5)

Using the rectangles you set aside: Place one rectangle, right side up, under the V-shaped gap at the front of the jeans, make sure the flappy bits are inside the skirt and pin then down. Repeat for the back.(6)

Sew along the v-shape at the back and front of the skirt; sew all the way up to zip-flap and the belt loops.(7)

Trim away any excess of rectangular panel that sticks out beyond the edge of the jeans if you have an Over-locker you can over-lock it otherwise trim it as close as you can.

Your skirt is now ready!
